is a respected producer who brings a wealth of entertainment industry and event production experience spanning nearly two decades to his company Steve Baker Productions.
Steve’s interest in music and event production began shortly after college following a successful career in music education. He moved to the Los Angeles area where he began his involvement in large scale event production with the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee on the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Games of the XXIIIrd Olympiad in 1984. Steve produced the one hundred member Olympic Fanfare Trumpet Unit that premiered the new John Williams Olympic Fanfare and Theme.
For the next ten years he worked for the Walt Disney Company in a variety of production roles that culminated in Talent Casting. Here Steve contracted and cast professional and name talent for the Walt Disney Company serving the needs of Disneyland Park, Buena Vista Pictures Distribution Special Events, and The Walt Disney Special Event Company as well as consulting with Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, Paris Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland. His attitude of excellence in show quality and uncompromising customer service was developed during this time.
Following his career with the Walt Disney Company Steve served as Executive Producer for the International Association for Jazz Education.

For over ten years he produced the Association’s Annual International Conference, a complex and diverse production event considered the largest gathering of the global jazz community that included, among other things, an eight venue jazz festival.
Here he successfully developed a broad range of additional skill sets in city wide event meeting planning. Steve is a seasoned negotiator and has extensive experience with managing entertainment, hotel/convention center meeting space and vendor service contracts.
During this time Steve presented hundreds of performances by the preeminent jazz artists from around the world including Dizzy Gillespie, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Dave Brubeck, Wynton Marsalis, Nancy Wilson, Take 6, Michael Brecker, The Count Basie Orchestra and many others. He has also worked on elements of the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Netherlands and the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.
